Terms of Service

Welcome to XBookmarkSync (the "Service"). By installing our browser extension, accessing our dashboard website at xbookmarksync.com, or connecting your database account, you agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Service.

1. Use of the Service

XBookmarkSync provides a productivity helper utility that allows you to sync, search, and analyze your personal bookmarks and saved posts from Twitter (X) and LinkedIn. You are responsible for ensuring that your use of the Service complies with applicable laws and the terms of service of the third-party platforms you connect.

2. Accounts and Security

To use the dashboard, you must register an account using Firebase Authentication. You are solely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.

3. Data Syncing and Scraping Disclaimer

The Service retrieves bookmark data from third-party social media sites using a client-side Chrome Extension scraper running locally in your browser. You acknowledge and agree that:

• XBookmarkSync is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Twitter/X, LinkedIn, or any of their parent companies.
• You use this scraping tool at your own discretion. You are responsible for complying with the user policies and rate limits of those platforms.
• We do not control, modify, or assume liability for the actual content of the bookmarked posts you sync.

4. Database Hosting & Subscriptions

Users are provided access to database storage cached in Cloud Firestore. We reserve the right to enforce storage caps (such as the 2,500 item bookmark cap per user or the 50-bookmark preview cap on the free tier) to ensure database performance. Premium subscription purchases are processed securely through Stripe and are governed by Stripe's transaction terms.

5. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, XBOOKMARKSYNC AND ITS CREATORS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY DIRECT, INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR USE, ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR ACCESS TO OR USE OF THE SERVICE.

6. Termination and Deletion

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without cause. You can delete your account and purge all of your bookmark data permanently at any time through the dashboard settings panel.

7. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new terms on this page and updating the "Last Updated" date at the top.
